Oklahoma is now 2-0 on the season, but it hasn't been easy. A lackluster offense has been bailed out by an elite defense with some rising stars (Robert Spears-Jennings is currently the highest graded safety in the country on PFF). We face our biggest challenge yet this Saturday against Tulane. Here are what I'm predicting we'll see:
Easy play calls. We are trying way too much. Considering we're playing almost exclusively backups at WR and losing depth fast at OL, we need to find what works and stick to it.
The running game will average 4 yards per run.
The defense will get 4+ sacks.
We will force at least 2 turnovers.
The offensive line will look slightly better.
Billy Bowman, Peyton Bowen, or Gentry Williams will get their first interceptions of the season.
We will see Gavin Sawchuk get at least 10 carries.
Score prediction: Tulane 10, Oklahoma 27
