I'm sure you heard yesterday's news of OU and Ted Roof parting ways. On top of that, a contract is expected to be announced at any point for hiring Jacksonville State defensive coordinator Zac Alley. Alley is a 29-year-old "Brent Venables clone." According to various articles from the OU writers, it is believed Venables wants to hand the reigns of the defense over to Alley so he can focus more on the head coaching aspect of the game. We will soon discuss what to expect out of the Zac Alley defense. Spoiler alert: we're very excited.
