Update

I'm sorry I haven't posted in 8 months. It has been quite a year this year. I got engaged, had a busy work and travel schedule, and a crazy personal schedule. But I'm back. I will try to make a post once every week or two.

This season has undoubtedly been a disappointment. We set the bar high in the first 3 games of the season with an explosive offense and a shutdown defense. It was looking like we might make a title run in year one. But with all good things, that dream came to an end.

A close, heartbreaker of a loss against Kansas State.

An absolute collapse in a blowout loss to TCU.

Realizing how crucial a good QB is to our team right now, getting blanked by Texas.

We rebounded the next two weeks, with an offensive clinic against Kansas and a defensive master class (mostly) against Iowa State.

But the past two games have shown us where our team is currently. Hit-and-miss offense, lazy defense, undisciplined team, weak/pushed around defensive lines. Receivers are struggling to catch the ball. Strength and conditioning are producing no results. We need all the help we can get.

But the future is still bright. We have a loaded recruiting class coming in. Our biggest playmakers this year have been true freshmen who will have a significant effect. We should keep our faith in Brent Venables. And we will be ok.
