I know it's not Thursday, and there will still be a post this coming Thursday. But. Let's take some time to talk about the depth chart that was released today. What are your thoughts on it?
My biggest takeaways are more of a "really? I didn't expect that" type of thoughts:
Marcus Major/Tawee Walker getting the starting nod at RB (I thought for sure Barnes/Sawchuck would be the main starters)
PJ Adebawore is 3rd string on the DE spot
Jonah Laulu starting (Good for him!)
Justin Harrington starting at cheetah (Was surprised it wasn't Dasan McCullough)
Jasiah Wagoner being one of the top 3 CB's (I knew he was talented but dang, a true freshman that high on the depth chart? Nice!)
What are your thoughts on the depth chart?
Tawee Walker. This story is probably the biggest from OU's camp. Freeman a close second. But Walker being a walk-on and burning up the depth chart is a testament to that dude's work ethic and ability. Everyone figured it would be a mixture of Sawchuck, Barnes, and Major with Walker kind of being that odd man out at the bottom of the depth chart...I'm super stoked to see what he can do behind our line.
